Can thin hair be styled?....?

I went to get my hair layered one day and the hair dresser said that my hair is to thin, so she just cut it shorter so it can grow thincker but it made "NO" difference.

I WANT IT STYLED, BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO TO IT??? HELP PLEASE!!! =]

Can thin hair be styled?....?

Cutting thin hair shorter does not make it grow in thicker, that is ridiculous. And yes, thin hair can be styled! In fact layers can actually help people with thin hair achieve volume and body where they could not before. How do I know? Because I am a hairdresser, and I have thin hair.

I think if you try layers the key to getting the volume you want is in the styling, try volumizing products such as mousse or thickening creams and blow drying you hair with you head upside down until almost dry, then finish styling right side up with a round brush. Large barrel curling irons can give nice volume at the roots too.

In my experience keeping thin hair all one length makes it appear flatter, NOT thicker.

cutting your hair in layers usually gives the hair a more fuller/thicker appearance, you haven't stated what sex you are,but if your female try blowdrying it and put some thickening hair cream in your hair, if your a guy i suggest maybe gel ing it up to look thicker.. hope i helped!!!

My mom went to one hairdresser and was told her hair was too short to be layered, then she went to another one and the lady didn't even mention anything about her short hair, she just layered it for her...

Go to a more experienced stylist, maybe?!

Can thin hair be styled?....?

Yes. Thin hair can be styled.

The simplest style for your thin hair is for you to wear it back in a LOOSE, not tight, ponytail. If your hair is not long enough to wear a ponytail, wear it down, but keep your ends and scalp moisturized so breakage and splitting does not occur. Try not to wear too many hair wraps. Don't get tiny, tight braids. Put little heat on your hair and stay away from tight sewed in hair extensions.

But, you can grow thicker, longer hair super fast. I use to be a member of all those dumb hair boards and blogs. But, I will same you the time and trouble of surfing threw thousands of post by giving you the summarized response of everything on those boards.

Your hair can grow by using a good, natural product. If you buy most, if not all, of your hair care products from traditional and chinese beauty supply stores, you are buying a hair-damaging useless product. Plus, most products that claim to be 鈥渁ll-natural" and for super hair growth contain synthetic emulsifiers and harsh detergents, such as Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Phosphates, Dimethicone, and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Unfortunately, these products are loaded with toxins and chemicals that actually dry and strip your hair of vital nutrients it needs to grow.

I learned that unnatural hair care products are a no-no for someone who wants long-lasting, healthy hair growth.

The key to growing long black hair is finding a hair growth product that contains powerful essential oils, natural herbs, and vitamin rich nutrients your hair needs to survive. Look for products with ingredients such as: Aloe Vera, Citrus Fruits, Jojoba, Rosemary, and Sage. Make sure you stray away from all natural products that use natural extracts. Extracts are not as powerful as essentials oils. They are a cheap substitute for the real thing. Although there are several natural hair care products on the market, not all hair growth products are created equal. Make sure you read the fine print. Most 鈥渘atural鈥?products still contain phosphates, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum, mineral oil, and other lab created humectants that ultimately damage your hair. My advice---if you can鈥檛 read the ingredients, don鈥檛 buy the product. When I was searching for a natural hair growth product, I found one really great buy, Beauty 4 Ashes Super Hair Growth System. Finding this company took me awhile; but Beauty 4 Ashes pretty much gives you everything you need to make your hair grow. Foremost, I checked the ingredient listings and the products contained no artificial ingredients. The system also included hair growth vitamins, a great hair healthy eating plan, and even scalp stimulating hair growth exercise routine. At first, the system may seem a bit pricey, but, boy was I impressed with the results. In 9 months, I went from a thinning hair line to a full head of hair that can be braided. My sister is now using the system and her hair has grown 3" in 2 months. Now, I am no product junkie; but I have to tell you that this product is worth the money. It does not cost an arm and leg and it is worth every penny you pay. You can find it easily at www.discoverb4a.com. Also, check for it on Ebay. You may actually find a deal.

Step Two: A Healthy Hair Eating Plan

Your hair is all protein. Thus, you need a protein rich diet, chocked fill of B Vitamins and other hair-strengthening nutrients. Increase your intake of fish. It is full of healthy proteins and essential fatty acids and natural oils your hair needs. In addition, drink a protein supplement or shake everyday. If you follow this plan, not only will your hair grow, but you will also lose weight. That is, of course, if you lay off the junk food. Remember, I warned you too much junk food above.

Step Three: Drink Water

Eight to ten glasses of water is an absolute requirement. Drinking water flushes your body of toxins, chemicals, and impurities that stifle your hair growth and disrupt your hormone and enzyme imbalances. Water also transports the important nutrients your body needs throughout your body. Hate drinking water? Add lemon and Splenda to have a healthy, tasty alternative.
