Its like a short haircut, faded on the sides, then from the left and right sides its combed straight up to form a point on the top of the head.

Seems to be the popular haircut the past fews years I see several EMOs and posers with it. When did this fad start, and who started it, I'm thinking some EMO band member did.

that would be a faux-hawk (as in, not a real mohawk or mohican). I think the fad started in the last maybe 4 years.

Oh and emo isn't capitalised. It doesn't stand for anything, like NASA. It's just short for emotional.
