Pros and cons of hair extensions?

I'm thinking about getting extensions...

Is it better to have them glued in or sewn in? Can you style your hair normally (with blowdryer, flat iron, curling iron, etc)? If I decide to have them taken out later, will it leave a lot of damage in my hair? And about what price can I expect to pay for a good set of extensions at a salon?

My hair is a little shorter than shoulder length right now, and I was hoping to add four or five inches to it.

Ok. I've had extensions all kinds of ways. For longevity and confidence that they won't fall out, sewn in is definitely the way to go. For something quick, clip in. If it's 100% human hair, you can curl, blowdry, and wash it. Glue does a lil damage if kept in longer than a few days (3-5).

Extensions can run a lil high at a good salon $80 to $150. Its definitely worth it done right because done wrong extensions can be a very bad experience. Extensions fallin out, your hair fallin out, damage, etc.

Clip in extensions are the ones that looks the most realistic. Well actually bonding does but they are SUPER expensive. With clip-ins, you can wash your hair regularly and take them out when you sleep so they technically last for a super long time. They looks so real too, as long as the hair is good quality and the colors match your natural hair.

I personally don't think you should get them. It's so hard to maintain them and you have to spend a lot of time every morning. And get them glued, sewing will hurt. The pro is that it looks reallly gooood. yes, you can style your hair naturally like it's your own hair, but ONLY if it's real hair ( not the synthetic kind)

pros: your hair is longer, you can have different styles.

cons: it gets knotted up, its really expensive if you want human hair.

i want extensions too, but it is way too expensive.

i checked at a salon near me and they said it would be $1500 for human hair extensions.

it`s different at every salon but the price is still going to be high.

yes, you can still style it anyway you want.

sewn in is damn pain so i would suggest glued.
